Training & Jump Prices

Prices: Headliner

Got a question? Just ask!

If you are new to the sport you have two options for your first jump, a solo static-line jump or a tandem jump with an instructor.  If you plan on only jumping once then either of these options are suitable.  If you are thinking of taking up skydiving as a sport then the RAPS course is highly recommended. :)

If you have any questions about DUSC, Strathallan or skydiving in general, please do not hesitate to contact us.  We recommend that you check the Skydive Strathallan website for information on height and weight restrictions, FAQs and facilities available at the dropzone.  If you would like to make a booking please do this through us as we cannot offer a discount for students who book directly through the Skydive Strathallan website.

The maximum weight for anyone doing the Category System course is 196 lbs/14 stone/89kg.

The maximum weight for anyone doing a Tandem Skydive is normally 210 lbs/15 stone/95kg.

Category System Course

Looking to jump by yourself?

This training course lasts 6-8 hours and provides you with all you need to know to make your first 'static line' solo jump from 3,500 ft.  You will leave the aircraft alone and your parachute will be deployed automatically via a static-line cord attached to the aircraft.  A radio built-in to your helmet will enable an instructor to assist you in steering and landing the parachute back to the ground.

This course will allow you to progress within the Category System - meaning that after 19 good student jumps you can become a fully qualified skydiver!

Note:  Your first jump is included in the cost of the Category System course.  Weather permitting, you will do your first jump after successfully completing the course.

Usual price: £160

DUSC price: £120 + matriculation fee

We have a discounted matriculation fee of £20 for new students purchasing the CS course or a tandem jump!

The cost of the course covers every aspect of your first jump – training, kit hire, third party insurance, and British Parachute Association student membership.

Once you have completed your first static-line solo jump, subsequent student jumps are only £39 each (this includes kit hire and ongoing training).

A non-refundable deposit of £70 is required to secure your booking for the course.  This is £50 that we will pay to the airfield on your behalf and a £20 matriculation fee.  The remainder of the cost can be paid on the day (cash or card) at reception.

Tandem Skydive

Looking to jump with an instructor?

This option is great for those interested in skydiving as a one-off experience, for charity or to prepare yourself before going solo!

On the day you will be given a very short training session (approx. 30 minutes).  At 10,000 ft you will jump attached to a highly experienced instructor who controls the freefall, parachute opening and the landing.  The jump will provide a freefall of about 30 seconds and a flight on a high performance parachute, all controlled by your instructor.

Note:  The airfield provides the option of having your tandem experience recorded on video - this is not available for solo static-line jumps.

Usual price: £280

DUSC price: £240 + matriculation fee

We have a discounted matriculation fee of £20 for new students purchasing the CS course or a tandem jump!

Optional:  You can purchase a DVD of your tandem experience for £85. This is recorded by an experienced cameraman who will accompany you and the instructor on your tandem jump.

A non-refundable deposit of £70 is required to secure your booking for your tandem jump.  This is £50 that we will pay to the airfield on your behalf and a £20 matriculation fee.  The remainder of the cost can be paid on the day (cash or card) at reception.
